Week of May 11th
During our TEAMS meetings this week we will be reading and analyzing the eREAD "Sitting Down to Take a Stand". We will use previously learned strategies as we navigate the text and prepare to take the quiz. -Students will log and take the quiz for this text. This meeting will be similar to our usual small group rotations in class. (Be prepared to be an active participant.) Week of May 4th During our TEAMS meetings this week we will be reading and analyzing eREAD "Lost in a Blizzard". We will use previously learned strategies as we navigate the text and prepare to take the quiz. -Students will log and take the quiz for this text. This meeting will be similar to our usual small group rotations in class. (Be prepared to be an active participant.) Week of April 27th During our TEAMS meetings this week we will be reading the passage "Saving the Gray Wolf" and practicing distinguishing between facts and opinions in a text using the organizer provided. (click on the files to the left of this page to open) This meeting will be similar to our usual small group rotations in class. (Be prepared to be an active participant.) Week of April 20th During our TEAMS meetings this week we will be reading the passage "Caring for Your Pet Scorpion" and reinforcing our summarizing skills using the organizer provided to help us identify important ideas and details within the text. This meeting will be similar to our usual small group rotations in class. (Be prepared to be an active participant.) The expectations for my students are: *Students should attend one of the scheduled TEAMS meetings per week (this is our Whole Group/Small Group rotation). 1. spend 20 minutes 3 times per week on the student application on the READ 180U program
2. spend minimum 20 minutes 3 times per week independent reading- You can go on the program to read eBooks/eReads, and then you can take the quiz when you are finished. 3. spend 20 minutes 3 times per week working on any of these home learning activities *I will be adding to this collection. ______________________________________________________ Once you complete a book you will choose just one of the 6 final book projects in the file. (You don't have to do all 6...you choose which one you want to do.)
